Dr Terry Wahls' Magic Mitochondrial Cure For Multiple Sclerosis

I always love to hear positive stories, especially ones where people have overcome adversity. So it is with great pleasure that I share with you the uplifting story of how a medical doctor cured herself of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) by diet alone. That's right, Dr Terry Wahls cured herself of what was considered a terminal illness by using food as medicine. This is a remarkable story that gives hope to us all.

It was in 2003 when Terry was diagnosed with secondary progressive MS. It wasn't long before she was dependent on a tilt-reclining wheelchair. But not one to give up, Terry developed what is now the Wahls Protocol - the method she used to cure herself of MS. Terry can now walk again, she even rides her bike to work. And it is all through her 'intensive directed nutrition' method.

Terry is now taking her method out into the world. She is the lead scientist for testing clinical trails on her protocol on other sufferers of progressive MS. She is also using her method in her  primary care and brain injury clinics.

Watch Terry's story below and learn about:
  • What foods she ate daily to cure herself of MS
  • Why Omega 3 fatty acids are important.
  • What specific foods improve brain and eye health
  • Why we are deficient in Iodine
  • Why we need more sea vegetables in our diet

This is the most inspiring TED talk I have seen in a while. Watch it and be inspired too!

Watch Terry's video on "Minding My Mitochondria"

Terry has written a book Minding My Mitochondria. This is science at its best! This book should be standard reading for all.

Terry has more videos (49 in all) on the Youtube "Food As Medicine" Channel. Lot of great information available through quick and easy video tutorials.

Terry has also set up the The Wahls Foundation. Click the link to learn more about her work in helping others overcome Multiple Sclerosis.

I hope Terry goes from strength-to-strength in every way possible. Her recovery is remarkable and a lesson to us all...      :-)
